Lunt Family Reunion! 7/8-10/2010

The Lunt Family Reunion was in Brentwood again this year. I love Brentwood and was super excited to go because I missed the last one, Guy would get to meet a lot of my family, my family would get to meet Briggs, I like being with family, there's always good food, new games, mountains are beautiful and not as hot, and I like camping. Guy took a day and a half off of work and we took off on Thursday afternoon. We got into camp just as it got dark. We barrowed a tent from Jonathan and Sarah and as we got it out to set up, realized it was the taj mahal. Thanks Ryan for helping us set it up. As we were setting up we thought, why would anyone ever want a tent this big! Later as we were taking it down we thought, why would anyone ever get a smaller tent than this? It was great!

Briggs didn't last the packing experience. It took a while...I may have slightly overdone it.

The drive was pretty long...

The inside of our palace. I didn't even get the other half in the picture.

Our little Eskimo boy. The poor campers next to us.... Briggs inherited the Lunt lungs and he was on a wake-up-every-two-hours kick while we were camping.

Grandma Erma Ray Lunt with most of her kids. Back L to R: Elaine and Kyle Baldwin, Jennifer and Dale Lunt, Dennis and Sandy Lunt, Glade and Carolyn Smith, Steve and Marsha Haymore. Front L to R: Doris and Larry Lunt, Grandma, and Jana Long
Missing: Gerald and Lucia Lunt, Randy and Joan Lunt

Guy and I went for a ride on the quad. The forest is so beautiful and peaceful!

Briggs stayed back at camp.

Mom got riding lessons from Trenton and rode down the bike trail.

Oh the joys of being a Lunt. You get to have this much fun! We had a competition between all my moms siblings. They had I think 5 different rounds and this was my favorite to watch. The bobble heads. They each had a pedometer attached to a headband and the one with the most "steps" won. It was a great night of games, laughing, and dancing.

Grandma with her Great grandchildren. Briggs is in the upper right.

Guy and I rode down the bike trail too.... in the pouring rain! It would have been awesome except it wasn't all down hill and my bike had a bit of a flat tire and had to be peddled to not slow down going down hill which made it 10 times harder going up hill... thankfully Guy traded me bikes! The rest of the bike ride was great fun!

Needless to say, the reunion was a blast!! It was really fun re-acquainting with cousins and cousin-in-laws. I way overshot with snacks though. I think overall, 3 snacks were eaten and we brought an ice chest full of soda and a laundry basket full of treats. Luckily people took some for the ride home so we didn't have a house full of junk.
