Some people lie about their age but Guy has taken it to a whole new level... he bicked his head. I guess he thought hair made him look too young. Idk. It makes me want to cut my hair short and get a perm. I was at Walmart late one night and when I got home, he came out to help me bring things in. He had on a hat and we had a big long conversation outside before he broke the news to me. "Honey, I have to tell you something. Jonathan made me do it." "Oh no, what did you do?" Then he took off his hat and I saw all his WHITE, bald beauty. He's been talking about doing it for a long time. Hopefully he got it out of his system. It could be worse... he could have gotten razor burn or something. Yikes! Now that would have been bad.

Mom, Britni & the girls, and I went to Tucson today. We weren't going to be able to make Mary's baby shower on Saturday with all the 24th festivities going on, so we decided to throw her our own baby shower. On our way to pick her up to take her to lunch, we found out Lindsey was in town, so we invited her to join the party. We went to Olive Garden (yum) and gave her our gifts. It was lots of fun. I love my sisters! And I love that they love (or at least pretend to love) Briggs and hold him! While in Tucson, we had to stop by Ross and Eegies. At Ross, Briggs got his first shopping cart ride!! Shopping carts kind of gross me out and he kept falling over, so it didn't last long. But I bought a pattern to make a shopping cart liner so he can sit in it without me grossing out! I can't believe how fast he is growing up!

Briggs is eating rice cereal! We tried last month but after the first time he wasn't particularly thrilled so we gave it up. Now he really likes it...unless its mixed with just plain water. It has to be flavored with breastmilk or formula. Then he goes to town! The high chair I have is huge and it lays back really far. At first I thought this was going to be a problem so i was feeding him in his bumbo but he always bent over and it was hard to feed him. So I tried it in the highchair and it actually works out great. He just leans back and relaxes while he eats.
This news leads me to some more exciting news... Briggs will now drink a bottle of formula! This makes it much easier for me as far as working goes.

I can't believe how fast time has flown and how bigger Brigger is getting! What he's doing now:
-He can roll over on to his stomach on demand and accidentally but he hasn't figured out how to roll from front to back.
-He has a new face... the Zoolander face. I haven't been able to get a picture of Briggs face but this is the look for those of you that aren't familiar with Ben. Its mostly the mouth...

-He will sometimes suck on his bottom lip so it looks like he doesn't have one.
-He blows bubbles
-He likes to play with toys and puts everything in his mouth.
-He is super close to sitting. He does good for about 10 seconds then he topples over.
-He is a social boy with a contagious smile. When we go places he will stare at people until they look at him, then he gets a huge grin on his face which makes them smile, which makes him smile, which makes me smile, and around it goes.
-He cracks up at his dad, sometimes for no reason. Its really funny.
We love our boy and are so grateful he's ours and we have him for eternity!

Lunt Family Reunion! 7/8-10/2010
The Lunt Family Reunion was in Brentwood again this year. I love Brentwood and was super excited to go because I missed the last one, Guy would get to meet a lot of my family, my family would get to meet Briggs, I like being with family, there's always good food, new games, mountains are beautiful and not as hot, and I like camping. Guy took a day and a half off of work and we took off on Thursday afternoon. We got into camp just as it got dark. We barrowed a tent from Jonathan and Sarah and as we got it out to set up, realized it was the taj mahal. Thanks Ryan for helping us set it up. As we were setting up we thought, why would anyone ever want a tent this big! Later as we were taking it down we thought, why would anyone ever get a smaller tent than this? It was great!
The drive was pretty long...
The inside of our palace. I didn't even get the other half in the picture.
Our little Eskimo boy. The poor campers next to us.... Briggs inherited the Lunt lungs and he was on a wake-up-every-two-hours kick while we were camping.
Grandma Erma Ray Lunt with most of her kids. Back L to R: Elaine and Kyle Baldwin, Jennifer and Dale Lunt, Dennis and Sandy Lunt, Glade and Carolyn Smith, Steve and Marsha Haymore. Front L to R: Doris and Larry Lunt, Grandma, and Jana Long
Oh the joys of being a Lunt. You get to have this much fun! We had a competition between all my moms siblings. They had I think 5 different rounds and this was my favorite to watch. The bobble heads. They each had a pedometer attached to a headband and the one with the most "steps" won. It was a great night of games, laughing, and dancing.
Guy and I rode down the bike trail too.... in the pouring rain! It would have been awesome except it wasn't all down hill and my bike had a bit of a flat tire and had to be peddled to not slow down going down hill which made it 10 times harder going up hill... thankfully Guy traded me bikes! The rest of the bike ride was great fun!
Missing: Gerald and Lucia Lunt, Randy and Joan Lunt
Guy and I went for a ride on the quad. The forest is so beautiful and peaceful!

Needless to say, the reunion was a blast!! It was really fun re-acquainting with cousins and cousin-in-laws. I way overshot with snacks though. I think overall, 3 snacks were eaten and we brought an ice chest full of soda and a laundry basket full of treats. Luckily people took some for the ride home so we didn't have a house full of junk.

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Guy, Happy Birthday to you!! Guy turned 24! Since it was a Friday, I knew it would be a late day at work. So I figured, he'll probably be home around 7 or 8....not so. I waited and waited. and waited. until 10 when he finally stepped through the door! Poor boy. He was so tired he just wanted to go to bed. The plan was to celebrate the next day with a big party with cheesecake and homemade ice cream. But around 1AM, I felt the back pain coming on. Another kidney infection. I took Tylenol but it didn't even touch it. The pain reminds me of labor (I had back labor). We tried unsuccessfully for 4 hours to get in touch with the on-call doctor Sat morning. I couldn't sleep I hurt so bad. I finally asked Guy for a priesthood blessing. The blessing was very sweet. I went back to bad and slept! When I woke up, the pain was pretty much gone. I was able to go to the clinic that afternoon and get an antibiotic. I am so grateful for a husband that is a worthy priesthood holder and can bless our family in time of need.
In the mean time....
Guy's family was down to go to the temple, so thank you Jonathan and Sarah for throwing him his birthday party! Guy's favorite thing is to be with family, so I'm glad they were here for his "birthday". I went over to J & S's while I was waiting for my prescription to be filled. I made it just in time for Guy to blow out his candle, and make it in a few pictures.

Summers are busy for Guy. People go on summer vacations...not us. We go on change of season vacations. It's not unusual for Guy to get home at 7, 8, 9, or sometimes 10PM- 5-7 days a week. Some days I get really sick of being home by myself (w/Briggs). Today I decided to go to Britni and Derek's to kill some time. So when Guy called at 5 to tell me he was on his way home, I was very excited. I said to Savanna, "Guess who's coming."
-"Who?"
-"Guy's coming."
-With a big frown on her face, "I don't like Guy."
-Trying not to laugh, "Oh why not?"
-"He's scared of me"
Haha, I was crackin up! Ever since we started dating, Savanna's been scared of Guy. We figured it was because he has really dark hair which in a family of blondies, she's not used to and he growls sometimes- most kids laugh. Not Savanna. Sometimes she won't come sit on my lap if I'm sitting by him. Its been kind of funny to watch. When I told the story to Guy, we all had a good laugh.... then he growled at Savanna again and she got a big scowl on her face. Priceless.

Sarah and I went to Gilbert for Tracey's Baby Shower. It was so stinkin cute!! I don't know who put it together and came up with all the decorations but it was really awesome....wish I had taken pictures. I am so excited for Brad and Tracey to have their little boy. Boys are such a joy!! We got to see Grandma and Grandpa Hatch while there. And I got my brand new Bernina Activa 230 Patchwork Edition Sewing Machine!! LOVE IT!! Thanks Mom! Its been fun to be semi-crafty. Semi because I do things but I don't come up with them myself. I like to copy. I'm really excited to continue to learn how do sew. I've got a whole list of things I want to do!

I really didn't do good at taking pictures this week... After the wedding, Shaun, Cheramie & Co., and Shannon and kids, and Matt and Mary came to Mom and Dads to visit for a week. It was lots of fun! I was so glad that everyone came to visit but especially Shaun and Cheramie since we hardly ever get to see them!

What an exciting and eventful day!! First we went to my friend Sonya Anderson Holt's wedding. It was really exciting for me since this was the first wedding we've attended since ours. What a beautiful bride! We are so happy for her! After the wedding we waited outside until they came out, but couldn't stay for pictures because Briggs got hungry and he was across town with Jeck. So we met them at the nail salon, where I fed Briggs and as is tradition, joined the girls for a pedicure. I love pedicures! Then we went to the hotel and we got to meet the triplets! What cuties! And then we were off to Preston and Lindsey's wedding. We are so excited that she is part of our family! The ceremony was beautiful and Lindsey looked gorgeous! After the wedding, we went to their wedding dinner. It was lots of fun! The family stayed in Embassy Suites for our Glade Smith Family Reunion. We love that place! And Briggs had his first swimming experience. Let's just say he didn't love it. The water in the pool was a little chilly, so we tried the hot tub that was more like a warm tub and he liked that pretty well until he got tired. Guy had fun playing some game including a ball in the big pool with the big boys. After swimming, we packed up and drove to Tucson for Preston and Lindsey's reception. It was in her parents back yard and it was so elegant. There was a live jazz band and I loved it! I succored guy into dancing wit me and I was in heaven! I love jazz- its so romantic!! After the reception, we headed home... exhausted but glad to be in our beds.

What a beautiful day this was!! I will always remember this day and keep it in a special and sacred place in my heart. Guy and I were able to attend the 12:00 temple dedication at the Thatcher Stake Center. It was so neat to see President Monson, President Eyring, Elder Holland, and Sister Monson (Pres. Monson's daughter) in our temple. One thing President Monson said stuck out to me. He said make sure there was a picture of the GV temple in our children's bedrooms and every night before they go to bed, show them the picture and tell them that someday they will get to go inside and be married for time and all eternity.
After the dedication, we picked Briggs up from my parents and I went to Jonathan and Sarah's for dinner. Guy was on call, so he had a few calls waiting for him after the dedication. So he had to skip out on dinner but thankfully made it back in a few hours. Just in time to be a part of Ethan's ordination. It was fun to be with the Nolan family. I feel like we haven't been able to be around them as often since is been so busy this summer. Ethan recieved his call to the Argentina Bahia Blanca Mission. He leaves sometime in September. We're very excited for him!

An eventful day: Mom, Britni and girls, and Briggs and I went to Lindsey's Bridal Shower in Tucson. It was fun to get to know her family better. We are very excited to have her in our family. (She's marrying Preston). It was just a short visit and by the end, the babies were so sick of their carseats. We had to stop in Willcox to let them out for a bit. My friend, Sonya Anderson also had her bridal shower that day. I was pretty bummed I couldn't make it as I was traveling.

President Thomas S Monson flew in sometime this day! How awesome is that?! A prophet of the Lord was in the Gila Valley. He saw the things I see. He drove on the same road I drive on everyday. Sadly, I didn't get to see him in person. But thanks to technology, I did see him via tv. Guy and I watched the TCC at the Thatcher Stake Center. Some people have some pretty neat stories. My brother Trenton got to shake his hand. I'm not sure on the names, but my mother-in-law told me this one... a family made signs to welcome Pres Monson. They were outside waving as he drove by. They saw his car slam on the brakes (almost making the following security car run into it). Pres Monson got out and shook the family's hands. He said he loves children and wanted to stop to say hi and thanks for the signs. I am so thankful for such a loving prophet!

As we weren't able to go to Ethan's graduation, we went to the Temple Cultural Celebration dress rehearsal. It was so good!! I loved how everything was about this area. I did get a little jealous of all the youth though. I would love to be able to be a part of it- to sing and dance for the prophet. I was happy I got to see the performance live.

Trenton, my brother graduated! Ethan, Guy's brother, graduated the next night. We were planning on going to Ethan's but Guy didn't get off work in time, so we missed out. But we're proud of both of you!! I couldn't decide which pics to post, so I just put them all up:
