11/25-27/2010

Happy Thanksgiving!  We went to Gilbert to celebrate with the Hatch's.  Brad and Tracy Nielson were nice to let us stay with them for the weekend.  We sure do love spending time with them which we don't get to do near enough.

Briggs and Braeden- can you tell they are related?

Happy Halloween!

Stefani, Lincoln Smith, Guy, & Briggs: We stole an idea from the Halloween Party and switched careers.

He fell asleep on his cheerios...

10/23/2010

Valerie and Bradford Bigler had a Halloween Spooktacular Party.  There was a big group of lots of fun couples.  Thanks for inviting us.

This is our toothless smile....not very convincing, but good for a laugh.

10/15/2010

Mom, Briggs, and I stayed at Brad and Jess'.  I can't for the life of me remember why we were in Mesa.  Lesson to be learned:  update blog more frequently!  So anyway, I put Briggs to bed on their bedroom floor while we were up talking.  This is how I found him when I went to move him...

10/10/10

I received a new calling...Primary Chorister.  Ahhh!  You know those callings that when you hear of somebody getting called to it, you think, "I'm so glad thats not me!"?  Well, that was definitely one of those callings for me.  I was very, very stressed, terrified, and nervous!  But it has been ok.  I actually enjoy it most of the time.  There are challenges and some Sundays are better than others, but I am learning.

This was also a big day for Briggs.  He got his first tooth!  It was one of his top teeth.  He didn't have to wait long for the others.  They came the next week pretty much 1/day.  He now has 7.  4 on top, 3 on bottom.  He took it all like a champ!  I gave him a little tylenol and motrin and he was good to go.  Now his smile is even cuter!

10/9/2010

Guy's cousin, Alex, got married in Pinetop.  Auntie Beanie and Uncle Lawrence we so kind to let us all stay at the farm house.  It was a very fun week with all of the Nolans.  Farm party, park, shopping, wedding, wedding dinner and dance.  It was a different experience for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it.  I mean, what's better than an unlimited amount of free Shirley Temples?

My two guys in their country club chic attire...  getting ready must have worn them out.

10/2/2010

Some friends of ours (Rocky and Brett Nelson) took us to the Lake.  It was lots of fun since neither of us have been since before we were married.  It started to rain just as we were packing up so we timed it perfectly.  Thanks Nelsons!

I was impressed by Guy's wake-boarding skills- I didn't even attempt it.
He wasn't sure if he liked the lake or not....  the water was cold and he didn't love the life jacket.  He didn't cry but wasn't all smiles either.

We had Rachel Allen take fam pics for us
My favorite family pic

He sits like this most of the time, with his legs straight out.

He's a little obsessed with cameras.  Haha, there were only a few pics in the whole bunch that he was looking at anything but the camera.

He could totally be a Gerber baby!!

Adventures with a lemon... Slightly mean but very, very funny!!

"What's this?"

"YOU gave me that?!!"

"Well I guess it wasn't so bad..."
Thank you Mother and Papa for allowing me to ditch orchestra and treating us to our favorite Mexican food (La Casita)!!

The Thatcher All Alumni Reunion- Parade.  The only picture I got of the weekend...

9/23/10

We had a ward party at the Thatcher park.  Besides good food, we played some good games.  The Elder's Quorum competed in the Bobble head...
Dustin Allred, Ty Allen, Guy Nolan...Their expressions say it all.
Apparently its hard at the end.  Guy had a major headache all night.

9/22/10

Briggs has never really taken a pacifier but likes to play with them.  So they are in our toy basket.  This is one way he uses them...

9/18/10

Guy had a VERY busy summer with work this year.  In appreciation, the company took all the employees and their families to a hotel/waterpark in Phoenix.  Guy and I knew Brigham wouldn't really enjoy a day in the water, so we took advantage of the opportunity of a weekend get-a-way.  We left Briggs with my mom (THANK YOU!!!), and enjoyed ourselves immensely!!  The weekend consisted of getting in late Friday night, playing in the water park Saturday morning, shopping Sat afternoon, Swedish massage for me, and hike/dinner to/at the Rustler's Rooste.  I am now a believer in massages and will most definitely get another one!  The serenity and relaxation of the massage didn't last long though, because we decided to walk to the Rustler's Rooste which we heard wasn't too far.  After walking half a mile in the hot evening, we stopped and asked where it was.  "Oh its right around the corner and up a little hill.  Not far at all."  So we decided to walk the rest of the way, only it wasn't right around the corner and it was more of a 50 foot cliff than a little hill.  We got to the restaurant... way late and sweaty, and took in its splendor.  I LOVED the place.  Not necessarily the food, but the atmosphere was amazing!!  I definitely want to go back!  Thank you Advanced Air and Mom for a wonderful weekend.

The live band with a dance floor in front of them on the lower level.

The slide..fun for any age!

The train..

Ethan left on his mission (Bahia Blanca Argentina) this week!  We feel lucky because he got to stay with us for a month.  We went up to Willcox for his last-talk-in-church-before-leaving-on-a-mission, previously known as a farewell.

He had a pretty good nap...

Last picture with Uncle Ethan- it will be fun to see the difference when he comes home.

9/9/10

Preston & Lindsey brought their dog, Pearl, with them to Mom's for a few days.  Briggs wasn't sure if he liked or was scared of the dog but he had fun for a while.

9/6/2010

Briggs and I- Guy was on call :( - went to the Gila Box with the Nolans, Rogers, and some friends.  Briggs loved being outside but definitely did not like the water.  I don't blame him, the water was freezing!  He was very content in his little "cage".

09/02/2010

I found him like this with his eyes closed but I guess I made too much noise cause he woke up right as I took the pic.

08/25/2010

I guess we had so much fun on the date we went back for seconds with the Smiths.  Again, fun.  Briggs was a mess by the end of the night but we had good times.

The setup...

The gang (starting at 12 o'clock): Jeck, Dad, Mom, Lincoln, Guy, Briggs, Larry.  By the time I remembered to take a pic, Britni and the kiddos and Trenton had left.

08/14/2010

Briggs is 6 months (and a day) old!!  Can't believe it!!  His favorite food is graham crackers and I think he would eat them all day long if I let him.  We sure love this little guy!

08/07/2010

Guy and I went out on a date with Jonathan and Sara to Red Knolls.  We took a couple quads.  I am probably one of the most conservative 4 wheeler there is (blame it on my upbringing).  Guy LOVES to go quading!  He's a typical boy and in my opinion, has a death wish when it comes to these "toys".  And he always wants me to go with him.  Those rides usually don't last too long if he's driving..er.. maybe they do last long only because I pinch him if he starts going too fast...let me tell you, he usually has some pretty purple nurples by the end of the night!  Well this night I decided to drive more than usual and I really enjoyed it.  We made a bonfire and roasted dogs, mallows, and starbursts.  We love going on dates!  Especially when we do something with another fun couple!!

We made it pretty dusty.
