Brigham's Baby Blessing
Briggs was blessed on March 7, 2010. What a beautiful day! Thanks to all who could come support us. We had dinner at my parents before our 1:00 church. We didn't realize until after we had invited everyone that our eating at 11:00 would probably interfere with a lot of people fasting. Sorry everyone. It was so much fun to be with family and friends all day. And the blessing was so special. It was such an amazing feeling to watch my husband give our precious son a blessing. I'm so grateful that I married such a wonderful worthy priesthood holder. I couldn't ask for more.
He fell asleep during church, so I took some pictures there before I had to wake him up to put him in the car seat. I'm so in love with this kid!!
His outfit is darling. I was so nervous that he was going to "soil" it, but he did fabulous all day... until right before I was going to take it off. Luckily, oxy clean works wonders. No harm done.
Best friends catching up. We're excited that Brad and Tracy are expecting and they are having a boy!! I'm sure our kids will be buds!
4 generations- Great Grandma Lunt, Grandma Smith, Brigham, and Mom. The week before the blessing as I was counting who was coming, I thought, "I wish my grandma could be there. That would be really neat." On Sat night, I was at my parents visiting family when my dad walked in followed by....Grandma Lunt!! I was so excited!! It made me very happy that she could make it to her great grandson's baby blessing.

Brigham Guy Nolan
Sorry, I know this post is a little belated. I started it a couple weeks ago, but since I'm writing pretty much a novel for journaling purposes and am still only half way done, I decided to write a short version for everyone. We are so happy to finally have our beautiful little boy here!! I can't believe he's already 3 1/2 weeks old!! Its been a wonderful 3 weeks of growing, learning, loving, and napping. We've been so blessed and are grateful to all who have served us through this change. He is so beautiful and is already so different than when we brought him home!! But here is his life so far...
Happily (I love epidurals!) waiting to be dilated all the way. They put me on oxygen to help baby's heart rate.
Grandma Smith was able to come see him after he was born. He is grandchild number 19 on the Smith side and number 7 on the Nolan side.
All ready to go home... the car seat looks huge!

This was the hardest day I've had so far. My mom was sick, so she couldn't come over which was kind of hard for both of us. So my mom watched Britni's kids so she could come help out. I'm so grateful!! I don't think she will ever realize how much her coming over saved me. After a long night with not much sleep, Brigham had his first Dr's appointment. He weighed 8 lbs, 4 oz...only 1 oz less than his birth weight! In the hospital, they measured him at 19" and at the appointment, he was 19 3/4". I don't think he grew that much in 3 days, so take your pick. For height he was 50th percentile and for weight he was 75th percentile. He's a strong boy!
Briggs met his cousin Macady for the first time. She's 4 months old. You can tell she's definitely older...
Until you compare their feet!
And their hands!

We were so happy to have Grandpa Pat and Grandma Ellie come meet Brigham. They traveled all the way from Wickenburg. Grandpa has MS and Grandma has a broken rib from a horse riding accident so its even more special that they came. They even took us out to the best restaurant in town, La Casita!
We're missing a link of the Nolan chain, but this is Brigham's great grandpa- Grandpa Pat (Nolan), Guy, and Briggs

We had lots of visitors on Sunday, but unfortunately, I'm not good at taking pictures. In addition to those in the pics, Preston and Lindsey, Jonathan and Sarah, and Heather and Brandon came.
